Steeple Repair

The repair of the top third of the fleche (Steeple) has begun.

The steeple is almost ninety years old and the copper sheathing and gargoyles have deteriorated. The black rectangle on the photo at left is a patch. Pieces of copper have fallen off, shown in one of the photos.

Below are several snapshots of fallen pieces and the removal of the top, which is now on the ground in front of the church.
