Tuesday Evening

A prayer group meets Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM at the church.

Wednesday Noon and Evening
Seasonal Studies

Three times each year we have a church season Bible study: Lent, Pentecost, and Advent. The next series will be Pentecost. Information on our studies will be shown on our Home page..

Wednesday Evenings

When we do not have a special Wednesday program we usually have two studies. The studies start at 7:00 p.m. and wrap up at 8:30 p.m. See our home page.

The next study period will start April 2.

1) One study is usually ALPHA: an introduction to the Christian world view which helps facilitate discussion of our faith and why we believe what we believe. More detail on the course is described by Our Pastor in Alpha. Watch our home page.

2) The second course description is:

Upcoming topics and events for Wednesday night Bible Study at First Baptist Pittsburgh: As we travel the journey from the Easter season to the Pentecost season, our focus will be on prayer. This is in a way a follow up on Kittie’s study on spiritual disciplines.

On April 2nd 2008 we will study the Lord’s prayer (Matthew 6 and Luke 11)

April 9th 2008 is the Magnificat (Luke 1)

April 16th 2008 we will make our annual “pilgrimage” to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, where we will experience prayer and worship in a different style, during the week before their holy week.

April 23rd 2008 we will explore Psalms. Discussing different types of psalms and sharing stories of our favorites.

April 30th 2008 will feature Jonah 2 and perhaps other prayers in the Old Testament.

May 7th 2008 will feature Revelation 4 and other New Testament prayers to serve as segue into our Pentecost study theme of the Trinity.

Stop by the church and check us out on Wednesday evenings.

Everyone is welcome to attend any program.

Saturday Prayer and Praise

Sister Lula Mae Butler organized The Third Saturday Prayer and Praise Ministry. It meets the third Saturday of each month at 1:00 PM. On Saturday, September 17, 2005, we celebrated our ninth anniversary featuring the "Gospel Envoys" in concert for the program.

Guest speakers and singers are regularly featured and there is always a nice meal afterwards.

Come and be blessed!
